Commercial Roofing Systems We Install
Built-Up Roofing
Built-up roofing (BUR) is one of the oldest types of commercial roofing systems. A BUR roof is constructed in layers of felt or fabric membranes called plies. The plies are alternated with an asphalt/bitumen material and reinforced with aggregates like stone. BUR roofs are fire-resistant, waterproof, and extremely durable, helping them last for years.
Modified Bitumen
Modified bitumen is an asphalt roofing material enhanced with rubber or plastic polymers for added strength and flexibility. Used mainly on flat or low-slope roofs, it resists weather and UV damage. Reinforced with fiberglass or polyester, it forms a durable, waterproof membrane that can be installed by hot asphalt, cold adhesives, or self-adhering rolls.
PVC
These commercial roofing systems are ideal for restaurants and food manufacturers with roof exhausts that emit grease and oil. Our roofing contractors can help you maintain and repair your PVC roof to last for years, or install a new one on your commercial or industrial building.
TPO
Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofs are highly reflective, providing excellent energy efficiency and resistance. The rolls of membrane are adhered or mechanically fastened, and the seams between the TPO sheets are heat-welded together, creating a strong, waterproof bond. They provide excellent durability in the diverse weather experienced in our Mid-Atlantic service area.
EPDM
You can often tell an ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) “rubber” roof from others because they are typically black in appearance. EPDM roofs are durable. These roof membranes have an advantage in the roofing industry as “tried and true” technology—roofing professionals have used EPDM for the last 40+ years.
Roof Coatings
One way to prevent a disruptive and expensive total tear-off and reinstallation roofing project is the professional application of elastomeric, polyurethane, or silicone roof coatings or liquid-applied roofing products. While these may not be right for every commercial roofing project, in some instances, they can help extend the life of your roof. Let us evaluate your roof to see if it could benefit from a roof coating.
